COSTUME MAKING WORKSHOP

LUNGS is having a costume making workshop for “Spring Awakening” Friday, April 17 at Campos Garden, 644 E.12th St between Aves B & C Setup at 9am. Making and Shaking 10am-Noon.

Spring Awakening is a one day celebration of the season with a parade, arts and workshops. LUNGS 13th Annual SPRING AWAKENING will take place Saturday April 25, from Noon -4pm.
This is a neighborhood wide celebration of Earth Day, and the opening of the community gardens. All Festivities are FREE and include a parade, pony rides, music, kids’ activities, art, environmental and educational workshops and a Special Garden Tour with Magali Regis.

We will gather on Saturday, April 25, for the parade at 11:30 am at El Sol Brillante Garden on E.12th between Aves A & B. The parade route will go East on 12th St to Avenue C.
South on Avenue C to 7th St.
West on 7th St to Tompkins Square Park, meander through the park and exit on 9th St and Avenue B.
The parade will feature with the marching band, Batala, our Tree Goddess, and Le Velo Rouge. Following the parade, there will be pony rides on Avenue B between 7th & 8th Sts., a puppet making workshop, seed give away, and music from Martini X, With Arturo Martinez, Jeff Ellenberger, Sylvain Leroux, and Marta Gaia.

As part of Spring Awakening the DeColores Community Yard , 311 E. 8th St between Ave B. and Ave A. will have live music Saturday, April 25 from 4-6:60 pm with Hellhounds with John King and Mark Howell, Sparrow and many Truffles, Outdoor Couch and maybe Rachel.
