SongWriters Workshop. Jack Hardy was a lyrical singer-songwriter and playwright based in Greenwich Village, who was influential in the folk music scenes for decades. In songwriter circles, Hardy was as well-known as a teacher and mentor as he was as an artist. Come and hear this current crop of singer-songwriters.

KID JAVA is a NYC‑based band that plays “Blue Note Americana”, ie., music that is deeply indebted to the blues, but mix it up with other rootsy genres and often with a contemporary feel. Sometimes we’ll play a down-home traditional blues, other times more swing-oriented material, and then there is the New Orleans second-line or funk tune thrown in to keep things lively. KID JAVA has shared bills with such blues greats as Albert King, Otis Rush, Pinetop Perkins, and Johnny Copeland.

THE 12TH ANNUAL LUNGS HARVEST ATS FESTIVAL 2023 starts with an Opening Night Party, Friday, September 29, 6:30 pm and runs through Sunday, October 8, 2023.

OPENING NIGHT PARTY CANCELLED AND MOVED TO SATURDAY NIGHT (9/30) at La Plaza.

Community gardens throughout the Lower East Side and East Village will be participating.
